About
Cadence Coaching

Mission
We exist to remove the guesswork from training. Every Cadence athlete gets a Doctor of Physical Therapy in their corner, guiding every session with a purpose beyond logging miles — so you get to the start line, season after season.
Vision
To become the most trusted coaching partner for serious runners and triathletes, helping them get stronger, faster, and more confident, without sacrificing their health.
Values
1. Doctor-Coach First, Not Just Certified — Every training plan starts with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy behind it.
2. Health Is the Foundation of Performance — We won’t chase a personal best at the cost of your long-term health.
3. Serious About the Work, Whatever Your Pace — We coach athletes who take their training seriously, not just the ones chasing podiums.
Our Philosophy
We believe that runners and triathletes need a unique training plan because endurance training isn’t one-size-fits-all.
At Cadence, every coach holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, giving them a deeper understanding of how the body moves, adapts, and breaks down under the specific demands of running and triathlons.
That clinical background changes how our coaching works. Instead of handing athletes a generic template, our Doctor-Coaches build training around the mechanics of your body; how you run and move, how you recover, and where you’re most at risk of injury. The result is training that makes you faster, stronger, and more durable.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Doctor of Physical Therapy?
A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a licensed clinician trained in how the body moves, adapts, and breaks down under physical stress. At Cadence, all of our Doctor-Coaches are Doctors of Physical Therapy — meaning our athletes are coached by people who deeply understand movement patterns, biomechanics, and injury risk.
Do physical therapists make good running coaches?
Yes — physical therapists see problems most ordinary coaches miss. A traditional coach might notice you’re not hitting your paces; a physical therapist can often spot why (a glute that doesn’t fire right, a strength imbalance) and how to correct it. A Doctor-Coach with that clinical lens means less trial and error and fewer setbacks.
Why is individualized training better than a generic plan?
Generic plans treat every runner or triathlete the same, which falls flat because endurance athletes need more than logging miles. Cadence Doctor-Coaches build individualized plans — base building, speed work, taper, and strength training — catered to each athlete’s specific goals.
