Run Coaching By Doctors of Physical Therapy

Train harder without the setbacks that come with it

Why Runners Choose a Cadence Doctor-Coach

Coached by a Doctor of Physical Therapy

Your Doctor-Coach has clinical-level knowledge of how your body moves, absorbs load, and holds up over serious mileage — not just how to build a training block.

Training That Stays Ahead of Injury

65–80% of runners get injured every year. Your Doctor-Coach monitors load and adjusts your plan before your body has to force the issue.

Strength Built Into Every Plan

Most running plans treat strength work as an afterthought, if it’s included at all. Your Doctor-Coach builds structured strength training directly into your plan — targeted at the muscles and movement patterns that keep runners durable, not a generic gym routine bolted on the side.

As a 42-year-old athlete, it has been incredibly rewarding to see breakthroughs that I honestly did not expect at this stage of my athletic journey. Over the past year, I've set a half marathon PR by nearly five minutes without.

I thought my running days were over after a severe hip injury. Was I ever wrong. With Megan's expertise as a DPT and certified running coach, I've managed to avoid a recurrence of that injury while setting multiple PRs and taking over.

I trained with Coach Megan for a full year after a stress fracture and working with her was incredible. Despite a recent injury, I was able to hit a PR in every single distance this year, including taking 46 minutes off my marathon time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Run Peak and the Race Package?

A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a licensed clinician trained in how the body moves, adapts, and breaks down under physical stress. At Cadence, all of our Doctor-Coaches are Doctors of Physical Therapy — meaning our athletes are coached by people who deeply understand movement patterns, biomechanics, and injury risk.

Can I switch from the Race Package to a monthly plan after my race?

Yes. The Race Package is a great way to try working with a Cadence Doctor-Coach, and you can roll into Run Peak once your race is done.

Do you coach beginners or just competitive runners?

We work with anyone serious about their health and performance, whether you’re training for your first 5K or chasing a marathon PR.
